How to Scratch Your Creative Itch as a Techie
The people I most enjoy working with sit in the middle of a Venn diagram:

They’re talented builders who have brought many ideas to life in their careers, one meeting or line of code at a time.
They have a creative itch, too. Whether it’s a side project, a startup, or just a better version of themselves.
And finally, they’re growing restless.
These folks care more about vision than process. They see that the real challenge is finding that sweet spot between the creative itch and the technical execution, where they use their skills to bring something original into being.
I like working with these folks because I live in that same place.
What held me back was not a lack of ideas—I always have far, far too many—or technical execution, because I can do that in spades.
It was finding the sweet spot where the technical skills fuel the creative drive, in an ever-intensifying loop.
This sweet spot requires a careful balance 🤸♂️
Lean too far into the creative haze, and you end up in the clouds. Cling too tightly to the tools, and you don’t leave enough space for the magic to happen. When you learn to inhabit this place, you are a force of nature.
Remember, you already have skills that the vast majority of people don’t possess. And when you hook this up to your creative energy, you will be going places.
My personal experience of finding my sweet spot was turbulent. There were many twists and turns, trying on countless tools, methods and mindsets.
But it was worth it: to feel my creative confidence come online and to see my ideas take shape and shape others.
The experience of being able to freely create—in a sustainable and sustaining way—is unparalleled. And once you have it, no one can take it from you.
I’ve been working on putting what worked for me, and what I’ve seen work for others, into a programme that helps you find your own sweet spot, where your creative drive and technical execution are working hand-in-hand to deliver you to a vastly more fulfilling way of being.
It’s a mix of inquiry, workflow and method that helps you dial into that sweet spot much quicker than you would by experimenting on your own.
I’ll be sharing more soon. But if you want early access, get in contact.
